Protect client data while you work remotely

As employees continue to work remotely, protecting your valuable client data is a challenge. With devices offline or only available when connected to the VPN, remote management and patching can become a nightmare. Remote desktop systems can work, but what about when your sales team is opening large spreadsheets, or marketing is trying to pull analytics into a reporting engine? How can you ensure that systems are getting patched and your data isn’t leaving your secure environment?

The obvious choice for many clients is to leverage AWS Workspaces, but managing and maintaining all of your Workspaces can become tedious. This is why EPI-USE America’s Finance team chose to work with EPI-USE Services for AWS to deploy and manage their Workspaces' environment.

With this help, EPI-USE’s Finance team quickly onboarded new team members and decommissioned workspaces as the group changed.

After EPI-USE Services for AWS completed the migration, our Managed Services team introduced additional monitoring metrics, cost optimization, password rotation policies, and a robust alerting system to notify the team of end-user experience issues. The Managed Services team collected this information and responded to the end-user needs from the occasional Workspaces’ resize to latency issues. With this help, EPI-USE’s Finance team quickly onboarded new team members and decommissioned workspaces as the group changed. By introducing monitoring, monthly reporting, and a ticketing system for requests, EPI-USE’s Finance team reduced overall complaints about their remote desktop system, increased user productivity, and enhanced their security posture with little impact on the end user.
